After a gap between updates, I had built up a lot of footage documenting the progress on Abri’s new Plainfield branch. For this video, I leaned into a faster pace to reflect how quickly things were moving on-site and to give viewers a dynamic look at the transformation so far.

After some time away from filming skate edits, I wanted to get back behind the fisheye with a project that showcased Batavia’s new skatepark. It was a chance to reconnect with the style and energy of skate filmmaking in a fresh setting.

As part of Abri’s marketing team, I’ve been working to capture more of our community involvement on video. This piece highlights Plainfield’s weekly Cruise Night - an energetic car show that takes over the streets every summer. I spent the afternoon filming the crowd, the cars, and the spirit of the event.

For this video in the update series, I wanted to go beyond construction montages and explore why this new branch in Plainfield matters. I interviewed the branch manager and filmed around town to highlight the community and heart of Abri's mission.
PANASONIC 45-175 LENS OVERVIEW (2025)

Noticing a lack of coverage on Panasonic’s
45-175mm lens, I set out to create a simple video that showcased its design and unique features. It gave me a chance to practice controlled lighting, product cinematography, and capture test footage that highlighted what the lens could do.

For my final directing course at DePaul, I set out to create a WWII period piece. I wrote, directed, and edited the film myself, managing every step of preproduction and bringing it to fruition on set with a small crew. a true test of everything I’d learned.

Colin Burke and I teamed up to capture the vibe of Chicago’s Garden Dirt Jump annual jam. a hidden gem nestled by the river amid the city’s concrete. We planned the shoot together, sharing videography duties while Colin handled the edit, bringing this unique local scene to life visually.

During my internship at SRAM, I attended Crankworx in Whistler. Primarily there to edit footage for the booth monitors, one day I was offered a media pass to film the downhill finals. Filming the SRAM athletes up-close was a great experience, especially in the downhill environment.

This short film explores tertiary movement through the lens of an uncomfortable phone call. Editing this was fun in terms of defining the characters and space through sound design.

For a television production course, I worked as both production assistant and editor on the pilot episode of a seven-part narrative series. Supporting the team on set and collaborating closely with the episode director and producers, I helped shape an episode that set the tone for the series.
THE BEST POLICY (2023)

For this crime genre student film, I crafted a tense atmosphere through deliberate camera movement and minimalist lighting. Relying only on the characters’ flashlights and employing a handheld wide lens, I aimed to height the sense of unease.

In a visual design course, I edited a short film centered on a specific shape. This project challenged me with its fast cuts and audio play. I collaborated closely with the director to nail the tone and feel of the project.

For a DePaul editing course, I worked on a five-minute section of Root of the Problem, enjoying the creative freedom to layer sound design and shape the provided footage. As a horror fan, I connected with the film’s tone and loved exploring that style.

For several years, I filmed and edited promotional highlights for Franklin Middle School’s annual dodgeball charity event. It was a great opportunity to bring my run-and-gun style to a fast-paced environment, capturing both the action and the energy of the event.

For my documentary course, I was asked to edit archival footage. I chose to create a time capsule of my local skatepark’s history. The film captures the skaters and filmmakers who helped shape the park’s lasting legacy before it was demolished.

For a documentary course at DePaul, I was assigned a process-driven documentary and decided to explore the artistic process by focusing on skateboard graphic artist Thadd Zurawski.

For an editing course, I was given raw footage to craft a short documentary about the "Pink Helmet Posse," a dynamic group of young female skaters. I was fortunate to work with skateboarding footage, which allowed me to bring their energy and story to life through the edit.

With a passion for sports editing, I put together this highlight reel to visually tell the story of my high school’s historic football season. I sifted through hours of highlight reels and google searches to find the best archival content to stitch together.

This Christmas-themed student film at CineSpace marked my first time working on a real set with a student-led crew. I had the chance to operate DePaul’s Sony FX1 and design the lighting, gaining valuable hands-on experience as a cinematographer.

On a road trip through North Carolina, I put my newly acquired GH5 to the test. This video was a chance to explore the camera’s capabilities in one of the most visually rich places I’d ever filmed.

Before graduating high school, I set out to make a street video that captured the spots and friendships that shaped my early years filming. Shot over a few years across the Chicagoland area, this project reflects the places and people that defined my local skate scene.

At 16, I traveled to Vancouver to join Mind Spark Cinema for the final shoot of MOTIVE, a mountain bike film. After years of shooting skateboarding, this was an exciting step into a new environment - bringing what I’d learned behind the lens to a different kind of movement and terrain.

At 13, I saw this longboard contest in Wisconsin as more than just a trip with friends, it was a chance to film some of the best skaters in the region. Like the skaters, I also had a competitive fire to create the strongest video of the event.
